Sr. Field Application Engineer (FAE) – Americas

Job Description:

SiliconBrite Technologies Inc. (“SBT”) is seeking to add motivated and experienced field application engineers for demand creation and pre/post-design support for SiliconBrite’s product portfolio to the assigned customer base. The FAE(s) will be the voice-of-the customers as a technical lead in the field working closely with SBT’s applications, sales, and marketing teams while aiding customers’ design-in activities.

 

The ideal candidate(s) will further perform the following and possess:

1). Collaborate with SiliconBrite technical teams to review customer application schematics and implement the best fit solution based on the customer’s technical requirement, budget, project, and timeline.

2). Deep knowledge and technical understanding of customers’ system applications with power management, control, data conversion, and sensors experience.

3). Knowledge of competitors’ products that include strengths and weaknesses in a given application.

4). Validate SiliconBrite’s new product proposals and roadmap with customers; provide feedback to the headquarters and participate in the NPD process.

5). Work with the marketing team to create technical training collateral, including customized product presentations for specific applications; reference designs, customer boards, training videos, and design-in guides.

The ideal candidate(s) should have the following qualifications:

  • 10+ years of direct FAE experience working at semiconductor companies.

  • BSEE is required. MSEE is preferred. Superior technical skills and product expertise within the analog & mixed-signal domain is required.

  • Knowledge of PCB Design software and schematic capture tools such as SPICE and ORCAD is a plus.

  • Self-starter and ability to drive for results while taking initiatives with a ‘can-do’ attitude.

  • Ability to work independently within a dynamic global team environment; must be a team player.

  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • The position for the Americas can be based in San Jose, CA or in a remote location.

Sr. Analog & Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer

Job Description:

SiliconBrite (“SBT”) is seeking two highly motivated and experienced IC design engineer(s) to grow further our design expertise fueled with dynamic company culture to create innovative analog & mixed-signal IC solutions. The designer(s) will perform various proprietary power and analog / mixed-signal (AMS) IC block designs, IP, and products via Cadence EDA tools according to engineering specifications based on various process technologies including but not limited to BCD and BiCMOS processes.

 

The ideal candidate(s) will further perform:

1). Design, simulate and verify various analog IP blocks including but not limited to A/D Converters, D/A converters, Low Power Bandgap Voltage/Current reference, PLL/Oscillator, PWM Controller, and various other Power Management related IP from individual blocks to full-chip level designs.

2). Work closely with system applications and technical marketing teams during the definition stage and successfully create new products from concept to tape-out.

3). Support IC design-specific requirements before, during, and, after volume production phases, including test-to-bench verification with associated test/production teams.  

4). Work with layout engineers to optimize and implement design techniques for in-house developed IP along with the library.

5). Understanding of physical verification, debug, and parasitic extraction, including LVS/DRC.

The ideal candidate(s) should have the following qualifications:

  • BSEE/MSEE with analog circuit design expertise

  • 15+ years of direct experience working in analog & mixed-signal IC companies

  • Good understanding of the Cadence EDA toolset

  • Self-starter and ability to drive for results while taking initiatives with a ‘can-do attitude

  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment; must be a team player

Full-Time Sr. Layout Engineer

Job Description:

SiliconBrite is seeking an experienced layout engineer that will perform analog & mixed-signal (AMS) IC layout according to engineering specifications and by using the Cadence Virtuoso EDA tool

The ideal candidate(s) will further perform:

1). Design of chip layout and complete set of design verification for various analog mixed-signal circuits (individual blocks to full-chip level).

 

2). Manage in-house developed IP library and optimization of layout implementation techniques.

 

3). Solid knowledge of Physical verifications, debug, and parasitic extractions including LVS/DRC.

 

4). Analyze and review floor planning/schematics with responsible IC designers.

The ideal candidate(s) should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

  • At least 15 years of direct experience working with semiconductor companies

  • Good understanding of the Cadence EDA toolset

  • Basic knowledge of AMS circuits is preferred

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Self-starter and excellent team player
